Sandy beaches are fine and a swim in the sea off Cornwall’s Atlantic coast can be refreshing (bracing perhaps?) but it’s a lot more convenient to have access to a modern indoor pool just a few yards from your front door.
Trevalgas provides a superb 40 ft (or 12.3m) heated swimming pool, with male and female changing rooms and a hot shower, open daily.
The pool is free to use, has a constant depth of 4ft (or 1.27m) and is very popular with young families.
The pool is for the exclusive use of guests in the self-catering cottages at Trevalgas, so it’s hardly ever crowded. Indeed, many visitors tell us that more often than not, they have the pool to themselves.
In addition, we know that guests have arrived as non-swimmers, and having spent time in the pool have departed as swimmers!
Opening times for Pool:
The swimming pool is open all year!
The pool will now normally be open at 8am to allow for a swim before breakfast, closing at 8pm (peak summer weeks), 7pm (early summer and September) and 6pm (for the remainder of the year).
With such long opening hours you can enjoy a swim every day*, whenever it suits you.
*N.B. The only exceptions are that it will be closed all day on Christmas day, and New Year’s Day.

While we appreciate that most guests have mobile phones, there is an emergency phone in the swimming pool entrance.
