Briar Patch is a very welcoming comfortable cottage with 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms, plus a dishwasher, so is an ideal holiday base for up to six people (particularly a family with children) and a baby. It’s a single storey detached cottage, has hard flooring throughout, and a large enclosed garden. It is kept non-smoking. It is just one cottage away from the indoor heated swimming pool, and the private garden gate leads out to the meadow and play area.
Dogs: Briar Patch welcomes dogs over 1 year of age. Numbers vary depending upon size of dogs and occupancy of cottage. Please check with us before booking if you want to bring more than 2 dogs.

There is a reserved parking space a few yards from the front door, behind which is a home-from-home cottage. Ideal for a relaxing break and great for families.
Open Living area
- Open plan sitting room/dining area;
- 42” Smart TV, DVD recorder, books and games/puzzles, CD/Radio/tape player;
- Stove-style 2 kw electric fan heater.
Well equipped Kitchen
- The well-equipped kitchen adjoins the dining area.
- Fully equipped with ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, etc
- Plenty of crockery and cookware (such as saucepans, casseroles, and a wok)
3 Bedrooms
- Two double bedrooms – one with TV
- Third bedroom with twin beds.
- Each bedroom has blackout curtains to help children sleep after dawn!
2 Bathrooms
- Family bathroom with shower over bath
- Shower room with large walk-in shower and a second w.c. (refurbished in 2020)
- Sets of bathroom towels provided.
Outside
Dedicated Parking just a few steps from the front door- Front terrace with picnic bench and cycle rack

- Gate gate though to meadow at rear and play park.
Briar Patch
- enjoys high fibre wifi, giving a good connectivity and speed, so perfect for keeping in touch work, if necessary, while away;
- has electric night storage heaters and is double glazed throughout, making it both warm and secure;
- as an additional smoke (ionisation) detector in hall;
- is ideal for a break at any time of the year;
- can provide a high chair and/or travel cot at no extra charge;
- welcomes a maximum of two adult dogs by prior arrangement.
The owner
Briar Patch was bought in 2019 by David & Katherine Copley, (who own Blackberry and Bramblewood, next to Briar Patch). Briar Patch and Bramblewood are similar cottages, although Briar Patch has the extra shower, and welcomes a maximum of two adult dogs. The cottage provides a wonderful base for a holiday, being only 1½ miles from superb sandy beaches and Bude town centre.
